About this tool
A simple, accurate metronome for practice and recording. Set the tempo, choose how many beats are in a bar, add 8th notes, triplets or 16ths, and accent the first beat so you never lose your place.
Questions
Is the timing accurate?
Yes. Clicks are scheduled by the browser's audio clock, not a timer, so they stay steady even if the page is busy.
Can I use it for 6/8 or 3/4?
Yes. Pick 3 beats for 3/4, or 6 beats (or 2 beats with triplets) for 6/8.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. On iPhone it plays even with the silent switch on.
Is it free?
Yes, free with no sign-up.
